Designer Collaborations & Style Brief for August 2025

What’s shaking in fashion? Here’s your quick update on the latest designer collaborations, fashion news, and trendiest looks for August 2025.

Designer collaborations

The latest designer collaborations cover streetwear, sportswear, French inspiration, fashion dolls, and monochrome.

Top Shop x Cara Delevingne

Asos acquired London brand Top Shop in 2021 after Top Shop’s parent fell into financial problems. The deal did not include Top Shop stores, but Asos took over Topshop.com and redirected it to a collection on the Asos website.

In July 2025, Asos announced it would revive Topshop.com with Delevingne as the face of the revived brand. The site will launch with a 30-piece mostly monochrome collection for autumn/winter 2025 that Asos describes as: effortless yet elevated, with sharp tailoring, statement outerwear and reimagined denim essentials.

J.Crew x Rouje

Upscale basics brand J.Crew launched a joint design effort with feminine French brand Rouje on a collection that’s part New York, part Paris. The limited-edition capsule featured romantic dresses, lots of red, ballet flats with gladiator ties, and kitten-heeled slides. The Rencard wrap dress ($178) represents the collection perfectly with its flirty retro vibe. Or consider splurging on the Reverie dress ($248) with vintage floral pattern, cap sleeves, and smocked bodice.

Rixo x Billie Bhatia

London vintage brand Rixo partnered with fashion and beauty editor Billie Bhatia for a collection of floaty, girly dresses and accessories with an organic vibe. Playful and colorful, the collection is also wearable and elegant. The size range is impressive too, with pieces available in UK sizes 6 to 26 and US sizes 2 to 22.

My pick is the Parisa midi skirt, though I’ll have to save up — it’s priced at $365.

Aries x Crocs

Streetwear label Aries teamed with comfortable shoe brand Crocs for camouflage clogs and urban-inspired jibbitz charms. The collection appears to be sold out already. After launching on July 23, the pieces are no longer for sale on the Aries website. You can check out the Aries x Crocs official photos.

Crocs does offer its own camo clog, which is decidedly less edgy than the Aries version — but it is available for purchase if you’re itchin’ to get in on the style.

Kobe x FC Barcelona (Nike)

Nike launched a co-branded line-up pairing the Kobe Bryant and FC Barcelona brands on July 29, joining two iconic sports personalities. The collection includes athletic shoes, slides, FC Barcelona away jerseys, and co-branded lifestyle apparel, all themed as “Better Is The Only Choice.” Nike produced a short film to announce the line-up called Mamba Rondo, referencing the rondo drill used by the football squad in training.

BLACKPINK x Lakers (and more)

K-pop band BLACKPINK launched a sportswear collection of jerseys with some of the most iconic U.S. sports franchises, including the Los Angeles Lakers and the LA Dodgers. BLACKPINK has brought their influence to themed apparel for the Lakers, Dodgers, Chicago Bulls, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, New York Knicks, and New York Mets — including jerseys, hoodies, T-shirts, and hats.

Bratz x Jean Paul Gautier

Jean Paul Gautier teamed with Bratz on two limited edition fashion dolls that retail for $195. The dolls wears two iconic Jean Paul Gaultier looks. One is a striped long sleeve crop top with a plaid skirt. The other is a striking pink, velvet two-piece set with a silver “Gaultier” belt. She also carries silver accessories.

You might use the designer Bratz doll to inspire your own outfit choices or pick one up as a gift for the future fashion gals in your life.

Fashion tourism still heating up

In June, we reported on the fashion tourism trend, an industry move that’s heating up even as summer winds down. If you have money to burn on a fashion-inspired trip to Europe, a stop at a fashion beach club pop-up might be on your bucket list. Some hot tickets in July were:

  • Jacquemus at Monte Carlo
  • Dior at Il Riccio (Capri)
  • Loro Piana at St. Tropez
  • Burberry at Ibiza
  • Zeus + Dione in Greece
  • James Perse at Saint-Tropez

Style brief for August 2025

Whether you plan to hit the fashion club beach scene or not, know that the understated luxe look is in. Think silky textures with lace accents and perfect tailoring. For colors, opt for the softest of pastels alongside rich brown for contrast.
